Sweets For The Sweet MD LLC is a home based, gluten-sensitive bakery, operating under the MD Cottage Food Law. We bake fresh, artisan, sweet, and savory baked goods in a dedicated kitchen.
Our dedicated kitchen was created due to others in the household not following a strict gluten conscious kitchen space. Cross-contamination we take seriously and keep all equipment, tools, and ingredients in our dedicated kitchen.
Our ingredients are purchased from certified sources with gluten-free labeling. We are not a nut free facility.
Meet the Chef
My name is Betsy and I am a classically trained Culinarian who graduated from The International Culinary Schools at The Art Institute of Philadelphia. I am certified in Allergen Awareness by The North American Learning Institute and ServSafe Manager Certified by the National Restaurant Association.
I changed careers and returned to my first love, creating delicious baked goods for friends, family, and our community. I myself follow a strict gluten-sensitive diet and found there are not a lot of options in our area. My husband & I reside in Cecil County, Maryland and found many of our neighbors, friends, and family looking to find gluten-sensitive fresh baked options. MD Cottage Law
I must adhere to the following: food products must be non-potentially hazardous food that is sold in the state directly to a consumer from a residence, at a farmers market, at a public event, by personal delivery, or by mail delivery. Interstate sales or sales outside of Maryland are prohibited.
Delivery
Due to Maryland Cottage Food laws, delivery is limited to within the state of Maryland. The radius I will deliver to in-person is limited to Cecil County and Harford County. No matter where you live, your order will be handled with utmost care.
